QUALITY CONTROL CORP. CELEBRATES 60TH ANNIVERSARY WITH SPECIAL ACTIVITIES HONORING COMPANY FOUNDER RICHARD C. MICHALEK WHOSE VISION TRANSFORMED THE COMPANY FROM A SMALL MACHINE SHOP TO A GLOBAL MANUACTURING SERVICE PROVIDER

June 15, 2011, Harwood Heights, IL – Quality Control Corp. (QCC), a global manufacturing service provider headquartered in Harwood Heights, IL, held a special 60th Anniversary Celebration today to recognize Company Founder and Chairman of the Board Richard C. Michalek for the vision that made this major milestone possible. 

Mr. Michalek, who celebrated his 88th birthday in early June, is credited with being the architect of the vision that transformed Quality Control Corp. from a start-up operation to a global manufacturing services provider.  Over its 60 years of operation, Quality Control has expanded and diversified its manufacturing capabilities to serve a broader customer base.  Currently, Quality Control Corp. operates four plants with combined square footage of 120,000 feet.  The Company employs more than 230 skilled workers many of whom have over 20 years of service.

QCC President and CEO Greg Willard said, “Dick’s guidance and direction have greatly influenced the high standards of excellence that have become synonymous with our Company’s name.  He has been the driving force behind how far we have come over the past 60 years.”

QCC brand names include:  Qualiseal Technology, Webster/CP, Dukes Valves, Orphan Products, and Early Stage.  The Company manufactures, assembles and tests complete products and assemblies, as well as precision-machined components for aerospace, diesel fuel systems, medical, defense, and fluid power applications. QCC’s customers include Original Equipment Manufacturers, Distributors and the U.S. Government.
